WA Business Awards Charity of the Year 

The Waalitj Foundation is proud to announce that we have been awarded WA Business Awards Charity of the Year for 2024!

Hosted at the Crown Perth Grand Ballroom on Friday evening, the awards were presented in front of more than 900 people, celebrating the achievements of local and regional businesses. 

The judging panel included 19 of Western Australia’s business leaders: Mark Beyer, Sean Cowan, Paula Connell, Josh Boekhoorn, Gavin Futcher, Chris Page, Paul Coghlan, Lauren Gonzalez, Ben Pieyre, Anthony Grosser, Eva Steward, Andrew Holder, Alison Taylor, Andrew Devitt, Lorna MacGregor, Vicky Vass, Geremy Farr-Wharton, Zion Ong and Charlotte Wagner.

General Manager of Community Development, Troy Cook, said this achievement is a testament to the to our team’s commitment to providing opportunities for First Nations Australians

“Winning the Not for Profit / Charity of the Year at the 2024 WA Business Awards is an amazing recognition to our dedicated and passionate staff and the support they provide to our First Nations community. This award will assist with sharing our story to the business sector, building meaningful partnerships and how they can work together supporting First Nations Australians.”

Through the establishment of a number of successful programs in Perth, regional Western Australia, Victoria and Queensland, we have reached over 60,000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people nationally. We influence and inspire the empowerment of our people through our diverse work force, which is led by our First Australian role models. We listen and respond to community needs, fostering a cycle of empowerment and economic sustainability for First Nations Australians.
