The Skill Hire recruitment team along with their RTO and WF have been busy setting up and running participation courses offering a foot in the industry to a group of keen Aboriginal candidates.

The Wirrpanda Foundation has seen another successful participant through our Sport and Recreation Traineeship program, with Ashleigh Woods commencing her new role with the City of Albany last week. 

The West Coast Eagles, Wirrpanda Foundation and the Department of Employment recently launched a collaborative program to help young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people gain employment.

As a part of the Deadly Sista Girlz program, our year 12 students at St Mary’s College in Broome held a fundraiser to help raise money for their end of year camp.

The Wirrpanda Foundation recently celebrated 12 years of operation at our 2017 Annual Fundraising Dinner on October 19 at the State Reception Centre at Fraser’s Restaurant, Kings Park. 

After joining the Wirrpanda Foundation’s Aboriginal Driver Training program close to two years ago, Annette O’Malley has successfully gained her driver’s licence.
