Building Stronger Communities with WISE
In collaboration with WISE Aboriginal Corporation Group (WISE), we are dedicated to fostering economic and workforce development across the Yaaliku Region in Western Australia.
Supported by the National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA), we deliver tangible pathways to real employment outcomes tailored to local community needs and priorities through the Community Development Program (CDP).
Since early 2024, our collaboration with WISE has made significant strides towards empowering local communities through strategic initiatives aimed at sustainable growth and opportunity.
Central to these efforts has been our journey to becoming a certified service provider under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), with the support of WISE.
This pivotal step promises to expand access to essential services and support for individuals with disabilities throughout the region, enhancing quality of life, fostering inclusivity and allowing for increased choice and control when accessing supports.
Jayson Sandiford, Deputy Chairperson at WISE, said, “Working with Waalitj Foundation who have long demonstrated a commitment to building economic and workforce development opportunities for First Nations communities aligns strongly with our focus on Building Strong and Sustainable Communities.”
“These types of strategic partnerships and targeted programs in places like the Yaaliku Region, lay the groundwork for sustainable economic and workforce growth, increasing accessibility to key services and building community empowerment.”
This collaboration with WISE underscores our shared commitment to creating lasting positive change in regional and remote Western Australia.
Supported by the National Indigenous Australians Agency we deliver the CDP program throughout Leonora, Laverton, Menzies, Wiluna, Mt. Margaret, and Mulga Queen. Find out more.
