Joint Ventures

Welcome to The Waalitj Hub Joint Venture Toolkit—a practical resource designed to empower Indigenous business owners by providing knowledge and resources for achieving better outcomes in their partnerships. Our aim is to facilitate the development of skills that drive success in joint ventures, fostering a sense of empowerment among Indigenous entrepreneurs.

In collaboration with industry organisations, partners, and Indigenous business owners, The Waalitj Hub has partnered with Jackson McDonald Lawyers to create this comprehensive Joint Venture Toolkit. Developed as a best practice guide, this toolkit is specifically tailored for joint ventures where one or more parties are Indigenous.

A joint venture (JV) is a collaborative business arrangement involving two or more parties working together on a specific project or business opportunity. The success and sustainability of a JV hinge on good governance, equitable and fair structures, and cooperative and positive working relationships between the involved parties.

Our Toolkit encompasses a wealth of resources, including guidance notes, explanatory guides, and checklists. Additionally, it features practical templates for board, director, and shareholder procedures. The Legal templates include a Constitution, Shareholders Deed, and a Management Agreement. These are designed for legal practitioners to utilise and adapt to your particular circumstances.

For further information and support, please contact the Waalitj Hub (Western Australian clients) or your state Indigenous business hub.
